Development of sales of wood stoves and inserts

The sale of wood stoves and inserts has maintained a strong position over the last 13 years. In 2010, nearly 18,700 fireplace inserts and 52,200 wood stoves were sold, while in 2023 these numbers increased to nearly 21,000 for fireplace inserts, with a slight decline to 50,300 units for wood stoves.

Sales trends in 2023

The year 2023 brought several changes. After strong growth in 2022, there was a slight decline, particularly in wood-burning stoves, where sales were down by more than 10,000 units from the previous year. Nevertheless, wood stoves and inserts remain an essential part of home heating in Czech households. The outlook for the next few years suggests renewed growth.

Ecological and economic benefits of wood heating

Heating with wood is an environmentally friendly choice. Modern wood stoves and inserts meet strict emission limits and ensure efficient combustion with minimal environmental impact. As a renewable source of energy, wood contributes to the protection of the planet and is also affordable. At a time of rising energy costs, wood heating offers an interesting economic alternative.

In addition to their functional role, fireplaces and inserts also serve as an aesthetic element of the interior. Manufacturers offer a wide range of designs and materials that adapt to different home styles, contributing to a sense of comfort, especially during the cold months.

Local wood heaters were, are and always will be here. Wood heating is an environmentally friendly, renewable and reliable option for every home, providing not only warmth but also a feeling of cosiness and security.
