The video recommends making tinder from toilet paper rolls and dryer lint, claiming it's „pure cotton and fibers.“ We consider this recommendation unprofessional. Dryer lint is not a controlled fuel. It can contain a mixture of natural and synthetic fibers, dust, residues from detergents, fabric softeners, or other impurities. Therefore, it cannot generally be claimed that it is a pure and suitable material for burning in fireplaces, stoves, or for cooking on a grill. Only fuel intended by the manufacturer of the heating device should be used in heaters. For ecological and safe wood heating, AEVD recommends using real, well-dried wood and common tinder materials intended for this purpose, not mixed household waste or materials of unknown composition.
